Evesham to Welcome Ray Mears for New Tourism Initiative
Evesham Place Board are proud to announce an exciting new tourism initiative delivered in partnership with Wychavon District Council. As part of this initiative, world-renowned bushcraft expert, author, and television presenter Ray Mears will visit Evesham to lead a countryside walk and support the launch of a new Bushcraft Project at Offenham Touring Park on Saturday 16th May.
Ray Mears is one of the UK’s most respected authorities on bushcraft and survival, with a career spanning more than 30 years. He is widely recognised from landmark BBC and ITV series including Ray Mears’ Bushcraft, World of Survival, Wild Britain, and Ray Mears Goes Walkabout. His work has taken him across some of the world’s most remote environments, and he continues to teach traditional outdoor skills through Woodlore, the School of Wilderness Bushcraft, which he founded in 1983. Mears’ deep respect for indigenous knowledge, environmental awareness, and hands-on teaching philosophy have made him a global ambassador for reconnecting people with nature.
His visit will also help spotlight and elevate the exceptional walking routes developed by Evesham Welcomes Walkers, positioning the area as a premier destination for outdoor exploration.
