Respected Polish entrepreneur joins Evesham Place Board
A respected polish entrepreneur has become the newest face on Evesham Place Board.
Originally from Poland, Agata Wiosna has built her life in Evesham and is a long-standing member of the town’s business community.
Agata runs multiple businesses including the Thermomix Cooking Studio in Bridge Street. Her passion for all things food and catering has led her to her latest venture, reopening the Espresso Coffee shop at Evesham Railway Station, where Agata worked 20 years ago.
Bringing with her a wealth of experience across retail, hospitality and community enterprise, Agata also strengthens the board’s commitment to diversity and creates a vital link with the growing Polish business community in the town.
Last September Evesham was visited by senior members of the Polish Embassy, at the invite of Evesham Place Board, to learn more about the positive contribution Polish-led businesses were making to the regeneration of Evesham Town Centre.
Agata and Evesham Place Board Chair, Phil Maclean, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Poland on Bouverie Street in London today to mark the new appointment and to continue strengthening relationships with the Polish business community in Evesham.
Wychavon created place boards in Evesham, Droitwich Spa and Pershore in 2022. Made up of volunteers from the business and community sector, they help drive the vision in the town centre investment prospectuses, supported by funding from Wychavon.
Agata Wiosna said: “I am honoured to join the Evesham Place Board and contribute to the exciting work taking place in our town. As a Polish entrepreneur who has built my life and businesses here, I’m passionate about helping strengthen the connection between the Board and the Polish business community. There is incredible talent and energy in Evesham, and I look forward to helping ensure everyone has a voice in shaping its future.”
Phil Maclean, Chair of the Evesham Place Board, said: “We are delighted to welcome Agata to the Board. She brings fresh prospective, lived experience, leadership, entrepreneurial success, and deep ties within the community that will strengthen our work significantly as we continue our mission to support economic growth and inclusive development.”
A representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the UK added: “We congratulate Ms. Agata Wiosna on her appointment to the Evesham Place Board. Polish entrepreneurs make a vital contribution to business life across the United Kingdom, and it is encouraging to see this recognised through Agata’s leadership role. We look forward to continued collaboration between local institutions and the Polish community in Evesham.”
Cllr Richard Morris, Leader of Wychavon, added: “I’m delighted someone with the entrepreneurial background of Agata is joining our Evesham Place Board. She brings with her a wealth of experience and invaluable skills that will support the place board and Wychavon are making to further enhance our towns and support them to thrive.”
